Barbara Currier has lived in Cambridge since 1976, and raised four children in the city with her husband and Massachusetts native, Richard Currier. Her experiences as a resident and a parent have informed her business life, enhancing her local connections and understanding at a personal level of all aspects of life in Cambridge. She quickly established herself as one of the city’s top brokers not only because of her business acumen, but also because of her personal enthusiasm and attention to detail. Team Currier consists of Barbara and Richard Currier and their son Blake, plus a dedicated six-person administrative group. Barbara Currier

Has represented fine properties in Cambridge and the surrounding areas for almost four decades.
A resident of Cambridge since 1976, she combines vast real estate experience and knowledge with invaluable community insights. Barbara has received numerous awards and recognition including the prestigious 25 Leaders Making a Difference award from Bankers and Tradesmen. Barbara loves to cook, is passionate about music and enjoys spending time with her husband Richard, their four grown children and grandchildren. Her ability to combine real estate know-how with an unwavering focus on the customer has rewarded her with a strong repeat and referral client network. Barbara’s engaging, energetic approach makes even the most challenging home buying situations seem effortless. A full-service real estate professional, Barbara attends showings, stages and organizes open houses, and covers every detail for sales and closings process. Richard Currier

Since 1977, Richard has brougth a wealth of real estate experience to Team Currier. A former teacher at both Belmont Day School and the American School in St. Cloud, France he has always been drawn to real estate. During his teaching years, he purchased two triple deckers (three family homes) and spent weekends, holidays and vacations renovating. With his keen interest in teaching and education, Richard especially enjoys working with people who appreciate the guiding advice of someone who can help alleviate the stress of buying or selling a home. Richard partners with his wife Barbara and the other members of the team to educate clients on the finer points of buying and selling property. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with Barbara, four grown children and nine grandchildren as well as walking around Fresh Pond with his Border Terrier, Chester.

Blake Currier

Blake grew-up in a real estate family passionate about Cambridge. As a child, he sold sell lemonade in front of the family’s small Huron Village storefront office, Currier Associates. A graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Blake began his professional career working for a large commercial general contractor building hospitals, schools, and other institutional projects.

After six years, he left commercial construction to obtain a doctorate in physics from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and began teaching physics at WPI. In 2014, he founded a construction/property management business during his transition from graduate school to teaching. After seven years in education and five years owning a small business, Blake joined the Currier team to help buyers and sellers effectively navigate the fast-paced Cambridge market.

He currently lives in Cambridge with his wife Lisa, a clinical trial project manager at Boston Scientific, and their two young children. Blake has been a licensed real estate sales associate for over nine years and holds an active Massachusetts construction superintendent license. As a native Cantabrigian, Blake knows the city intimately; he is also knowledgeable about the best ways to structure an offer in this competitive market, and is a skilled negotiator.
